Make an AI product video from one photo for Meesho, Flipkart and Instagram

One clean product photo is enough to make a slow-orbit or light-sweep clip for your Meesho listing, Flipkart catalogue or Instagram Reel. Here is the workflow sellers in Hyderabad and Surat use, with prompts, model picks and credits for six common product types.

A product video does not need a studio, a turntable or a videographer. It needs one sharp photo and a clear sentence about how the camera should move. Sellers on Meesho and Flipkart, and D2C brands running Reels, are making 5-second orbit and light-sweep clips from catalogue photos they already have. This is the full workflow in the AI Video Generator: clean the photo, write the motion prompt, keep the product identical across clips, export in the right shape, all for under ₹100 a listing.

Start with the photo, not the prompt

The model keeps whatever you give it. A photo with a cluttered background, a shadow from your hand or a crooked angle turns into a video with the same problems, only moving. So fix the picture first.

Remove the background with the free background remover so the product sits on a plain white or soft grey. Resize it with the image resizer so the product fills about 70 percent of the frame with some breathing room on all sides; the camera needs space to move around the item. If your listing photos already meet the marketplace photo requirements, they are usually ready to animate as they are.

Pick the photo with the most even light. A saree shot under shop tube lights with a yellow cast on one side keeps that cast through the whole clip.

Three camera moves that sell products

In image-to-video mode the photo becomes the first frame, and the prompt describes only the motion. You are not describing the product; the model can already see it. Describe what the camera and light do. Three moves cover almost every product:

A slow orbit: "the camera orbits slowly to the right around the product, about 90 degrees, soft studio light, the background stays plain." Good for shoes, bags, bottles and anything with a shape worth seeing from the side.

A turntable: "the product rotates slowly on the spot, the camera stays still, soft shadow under it." Good for earrings, watches, small electronics and anything symmetrical.

A light sweep: "the camera holds still, a soft band of light sweeps across the surface from left to right, the texture catches the light." Good for fabric, cosmetics, packaging and anything flat where a rotation would look odd.

Keep it to one subject and one camera move per clip; two moves in 5 seconds produce a wobbly result. The Camera presets write the move into your prompt if you prefer to pick from a list.

Keep the product identical across clips

A seller with 40 listings does not want 40 slightly different versions of the same kurta. The References mode solves this: upload 2 to 4 clear photos of the product from different angles, and the model keeps to them. The logo stays put, the print stays the same print, and the colour does not drift between the Reel version and the catalogue version.

Models that accept references include Nova 2K, Vela 2.5, Canter 1.1 and Lumen Frames. If you only have one photo, the single-image path on any model is fine; the first frame is your photo, so the product is right at the start. References matter most when you want a second or third clip with a different motion and the same product, or when the product must be seen from an angle your one photo does not show.

9:16 for Reels, 1:1 for the catalogue

Set the Format before you generate, not after. Instagram Reels want 9:16; most marketplace listing videos look best at 1:1 inside the product gallery. Generate each shape separately rather than cropping a 16:9 clip, because the model composes the shot for the frame you pick, and a 9:16 orbit keeps the product centred in a way a crop never will.

If you do need to reshape a finished clip, the free video resizer crops it on your device without uploading, and the trim tool cuts it to length without re-encoding. Marketplaces have their own limits on video length, size and resolution; as of 2026, check the seller help page for Meesho, Flipkart or Amazon before uploading, because the rules change and differ by category.

The under-budget workflow

Credits are charged per second of finished video, and the total is shown on the Generate button before you commit, so there are no surprises. The trick is to test cheap and finish once.

Draft on Nova Lite. A 6-second clip costs 48 credits, which is ₹24. Use it to check that the motion reads the way you want: does the orbit go the right way, is the background holding? Adjust the prompt until the draft works.

Then make the final on Lumen Motion 3. Standard quality is 23 credits a second, so a 5-second clip is 115 credits (about ₹58); 1080p is 185 credits (about ₹93). For jewellery or cosmetics where every grain of texture matters, or when you are working from reference images, Nova 2K at 175 credits for 5 seconds gives the sharpest single frame. If the model fails or declines, the credits come back automatically.

A ₹249 pack is 520 credits: roughly four finished Lumen Motion 3 Standard clips. One draft plus one final per product comes in under ₹100 a listing.

Prompts, models and credits by product type

Product Motion prompt (image to video) Model Credits (as of Oct 2026)
Saree "slow light sweep across the fabric from left to right, camera dollies in gently on the border, threads catch the light" Lumen Motion 3 Standard, 5 s 115 (₹58)
Earrings "the earrings turn slowly on the spot and sway a little, camera still, soft studio light, plain background" Nova 2K, 5 s 175 (₹88)
Shoes "the camera orbits slowly to the right around the shoe, about 90 degrees, soft shadow moving on the floor" Lumen Motion 3 1080p, 5 s 185 (₹93)
Phone case "slow orbit to the left, a soft light sweep over the case surface, the phone screen stays dark" Nova Lite, 6 s 48 (₹24)
Snack pack "the pack stands still, camera pushes in slowly, a few spices and crumbs fall gently around it" Lumen Motion 3 Standard, 5 s 115 (₹58)
Cosmetics "the bottle rotates slowly on a turntable, soft light sweep, small water droplets on the surface" Nova 2K, 5 s 175 (₹88)

Use the Avoid box for things that spoil product clips: "text, hands, extra products, warped logo." Keep Prompt strength near the default 0.5; pushing it high can make the model reinterpret the product.

Sound off, then finish free

Turn the sound toggle off for Reels. You will add a trending track inside Instagram anyway, and a clip with its own baked-in music fights with the one you choose. For a marketplace gallery video, sound off is also the norm; shoppers browse on mute. Leave it on only for a brand Reel where the ambience is the point, such as a snack pack opening with a crunch.

Once the clip is ready, download it within 7 days (history is cleared after that), then finish on-device with the free video tools: resize, trim, add a caption or logo, compress if the portal has a size cap. No watermark is added at any step, and your photo is sent to the model only to make the clip, never to train anything. Open the AI Video Generator, drop your cleanest photo, and start with the ₹24 draft.

Frequently asked questions

Can I make a product video from just one photo?

Yes. In image-to-video mode your photo becomes the first frame and the prompt describes only the motion, so the product stays exactly as photographed while the camera orbits, the light sweeps or the item turns.

How much does one AI product video cost?

As of October 2026, a 6-second draft on Nova Lite is 48 credits (₹24) and a 5-second final on Lumen Motion 3 Standard is 115 credits (about ₹58). The exact total is shown on the Generate button before you commit.

Will the product look different in each clip?

Not if you use the References mode. Upload 2 to 4 clear photos of the same product and the model keeps the colour, shape and label consistent across every clip you make.

Do marketplaces accept AI-generated product videos?

Most marketplaces care about the product being shown accurately, not how the video was made. As of 2026, check the seller help page of Meesho, Flipkart or Amazon for current video length, size and content rules before uploading.
