How to get a good AI video

Say what moves, not just what is there. A prompt that names the subject, the camera and the motion ("slow dolly in on a bowl of ramen, steam rising, soft window light, shallow depth of field") beats a list of adjectives. One subject and one camera move per clip keeps the result clean.

Image to video keeps your picture. The start frame becomes the first frame of the clip, so a product photo, a property shot or a portrait stays recognisably yours; the prompt then describes only the motion ("the camera orbits slowly to the right"). Add an end frame when the clip must land on a specific view.

Reference images keep a face or a product consistent. Models that accept several reference images use them as the look of a person, product or place, and build a new scene from the prompt around them. Two to four clear references work best.

Pick the model for the job. Lumen Motion 3 is the all-rounder: sharp, multi-shot, native sound, and the best value at 1080p. Vela makes the most cinematic footage and the longest clips (up to 30 s). Nova 2K is the sharpest single frame. Orbit 3 and Nova Lite are the cheapest drafts for trying ideas; make the final with a bigger model once the prompt works.

Sound is generated with the picture. Models marked "sound" produce ambience, effects and music that match the motion; there is no voice-over unless the prompt asks for speech. Turn sound off for Reels where you will add a trending track.

Edit, extend and motion control. Edit video changes an existing clip from a prompt ("make it snow", "swap the jacket for a red one") or restyles it from reference images while keeping the original motion. Extend video continues a clip by 4–30 seconds. Motion control animates a still image with the movement of a video you provide. These are billed on the input video's length (plus the new seconds for Extend), so trim the clip to the part you need first.
