Compress image to 20 KB free
A 20 KB limit is typical for passport-size photos on SSC, UPSC, railway and state PSC forms (20–50 KB). Instead of guessing a quality slider, this page is already set to a 20 KB target: drop the image and you get a file that fits, with the exact size shown before you download. Expect a 200 × 230 px photo; keep the pixel size small.
Drag the handle. Zoom your browser (Ctrl +) to inspect fine detail at 100%.
Exact size, not a guess
The compressor tries progressively smaller settings until the file is under 20 KB, then stops, so you keep as much quality as the limit allows.
Private by design
The image is processed on your own device. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, and it works offline once the page has loaded.
Batch and formats
Up to 50 images at once, JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF and iPhone HEIC in; download one by one or as a ZIP.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my photo blurry at 20 KB?
Very small limits leave little data. Keep the pixel size small (for example 200 × 230 px for a passport photo) so the compressor is not forced to crush a large image; use Image Resizer first if needed.
Which format reaches the size most easily?
JPG for photos and scans, WebP if the site accepts it (about 25 percent smaller than JPG), PNG only for graphics with flat colours.
Is the image uploaded?
No. Compression runs in your browser; the file never leaves your device.
