Will it look exactly like Word?
Close, not identical. The document is re-typeset with a standard PDF font, so headings, bold and italic, lists, tables and images come through, but custom fonts, columns and text boxes are simplified. For a pixel-exact copy use Word's own Save as PDF; this tool is for when you do not have Word to hand.
Does it work with old .doc files?
No. Save the file as .docx first (Word, Google Docs and LibreOffice can all do that).
Which languages are supported?
English and Western European text. Characters outside that range (for example Hindi or Telugu script) are replaced with a question mark in this version.
Is the document uploaded?
No. The .docx is read and the PDF is built inside your browser on your own device.
