Compress PDF to 100 KB free
100 KB is a common cap for one or two-page forms and ID uploads on government portals. This page opens with the compressor already set to a 100 KB target: it tries progressively stronger settings until the file fits and shows the final size before you download.
Fits the limit
Light re-save first (keeps text selectable), then page-image rebuilds at 150 and 100 dpi, then greyscale, stopping as soon as the file is under the limit.
Nothing uploaded
The PDF is compressed inside your browser on your own device. Sensitive documents never touch a server.
Know what you get
Before and after sizes, page count and the level used are shown; download or try again with Greyscale ticked.
Frequently asked questions
My 2-page scan will not go under 100 KB. Why?
Each scanned page needs roughly 25–40 KB even at the strongest setting. Split the file with Split PDF or ask the portal whether a higher limit is allowed.
Will the text stay selectable?
If the Light pass alone reaches the limit, yes. Stronger passes rebuild pages as images to meet the size; text becomes a picture.
Is the document uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser.
