How builders use 3D floor plans across a launch

A single studio render of the flagship unit is still the right thing for the hoarding. Everything else in a launch, the twelve unit variants, the revised plan, the partner's WhatsApp card, needs a faster way to get a furnished plan, and needs it to look like one project. This is how marketing teams run that.

Quick answer. Render the flagship unit first in 2D to 3D Floor Plan, tune the style to the brand (floors, walls, palette, background, a reference image if the brochure already has a look) and save it as a style. Apply the saved style to every other unit plan; each render takes about a minute and keeps the plan's walls, openings and printed sizes. Export free from the Studio: 4K for the brochure, 2K for the website, 1K with a title block for channel partners and WhatsApp. When a plan is revised, re-render only that unit.

Step by step

  1. Pre-launch: render the typology from the architect's plans, save the project style, use the renders in the teaser deck and the channel-partner kit.
  2. Launch: the same renders go to the e-brochure, the website unit pages, the site-office screens and the portal listings, exported at the right size for each.
  3. Sales: agents and partners get 1K cards with the project title; the free compressor keeps walkthrough videos under WhatsApp's limit.
  4. Revisions: when the structural or vastu consultant changes a plan, re-render that unit in the saved style the same day.

Tips that save a second attempt

  • Fidelity is the compliance story. Because the render is drawn on the plan, the image agrees with the drawing and the area statement without a review round.
  • Indian plan elements, pooja, utility, shafts, sit-outs, servant rooms and wash areas, are recognised and furnished to their function.
  • Keep the plans as PNG exports from the brochure PDF at 200 dpi or more; the free PDF to JPG tool does this in the browser.
  • Sketches and photos from the site team go through Floor Plan Redraw first, in a style sample from your own drawing set, so the whole typology matches.

Frequently asked questions

How many renders does a launch need?

A typology of eight unit types with two revisions each is about 24 renders, under ₹300 at 2K. A ₹499 pack (1,100 credits) covers most mid-size launches with room for options.

Can an agency run this for us?

Yes. Share the saved-style settings and the reference image; any account reproduces the look. The agency renders, you approve.

What about the hero image?

Keep the studio for the perspective render and the exterior. Use Cortex for the top-down plans, the variants and the revisions, where speed and fidelity matter more than a cinematic angle.

What does a 3D render cost?

The first render is free with an account. After that a 2K Lumen render is 25 credits (₹12.50 at ₹0.50 a credit), 4K is 55 and the premium Atlas engine is 60. Restyling, recolouring, backgrounds and titles in the Studio are free.
