Penthouse floor plan to 3D
Penthouses sell last and sell on the visual: the terrace, the size of the living room, the private upper level. They are also the units least likely to have a finished sample flat. Cortex renders the penthouse plan with the terrace, the pool deck if there is one and every internal room where the drawing has them, at the resolution a brochure spread needs.

A large plan with a large outside
A penthouse combines the density of a 4 BHK with the outdoor areas of a villa: a wraparound terrace, a deck, sometimes a plunge pool, and on duplex penthouses an upper level with a lounge and a terrace of its own. The engine treats terraces as open-sky space, furnishes them lightly and keeps the parapet line as the plan draws it, so the relationship between indoor and outdoor is clear.
Resolution matters here. Use 4K or the Atlas engine for the brochure, where material texture on the deck and the living room floor is part of the sell; 2K is fine for the website and 1K for WhatsApp.
Typical uses
- Brochure centre spread for a tower launch, before the sample penthouse exists.
- One-to-one sales to a specific buyer: render in two styles in the Studio and let the buyer pick.
- Interior proposals for the buyer who has booked and wants the terrace planned.
- Resale of a penthouse, where a furnished plan is the quickest way to explain an unusual layout.
Preparing a penthouse plan
Crop to the unit, including the terrace, and keep dimensions on. If the penthouse is a duplex, render the two levels separately in the same saved style. Add a reference image of the intended interior finish and the engine follows its materials and lighting. For a plan that is a photo of the site-office board, redraw it first.
How it works
- Upload the plan. Brochure page, architect drawing or a flat photo of a print. JPG, PNG or WebP up to 25 MB.
- Pick a look. Style preset, accent colour, floors, walls, background and shadows, or drop in a reference photo of an interior you like.
- Render. Lumen takes 30 to 60 seconds; Atlas gives the finest detail. Room names and sizes come through from your plan.
- Finish free. Recolour, swap the background, add a title in the Studio and download at full resolution. Your first render costs nothing.
The AI changes the presentation, not your architecture
Most generative tools produce a beautiful picture of a different house. Cortex reads your drawing first and renders on top of it, so the result is the plan you sent, furnished and lit, and the 2D ⇄ 3D slider lines up.
What you upload is what gets rendered. Only the look changes.
- Orientation and framing
- Room identity and names
- Walls, with thickness
- Doors and door swings
- Windows and openings
- Balconies and sit-outs
- Shafts, ducts and utility
- Furniture positions
- Printed dimensions
- Entry position
Terraces as terraces
Open-sky areas render as outdoor space in position, lightly furnished, with the parapet line as drawn.
Material detail for print
4K and the Atlas engine keep floor texture and furniture detail crisp on a brochure spread.
Two styles for one buyer
Render once, restyle in the Studio for free, and present two looks of the same plan.
Frequently asked questions
Will a plunge pool or a deck render correctly?
If the plan shows it as a pool or a deck, it is rendered as one, in position. Ask the AI after the render to adjust the finish if needed.
Which engine for the brochure?
Atlas, or Lumen at 4K and upgrade to Atlas if you want finer material detail. Both keep the plan's layout.
The penthouse is on two levels. One image or two?
Two. Render each level and apply the same saved style; combine them in the free photo editor for the spread.
What does it cost?
Every new account gets 25 free credits, which is one Lumen 2K render. After that 1 credit is ₹0.50: a 2K Lumen render is 25 credits (₹12.50), 4K is 55, and the premium Atlas engine is 60 credits (₹30). Restyling a finished render in the Studio is free.
Can I use the renders commercially?
Yes. Images made from your own plans are yours to use in brochures, listings, hoardings, websites and presentations.
